ANEMONE TUBE

"Golden temple"
Year:    2016
Country:    Germany
City:   Berlin
Label:    Black horizons
Format:    CD , cassette
Tracks:    8
Time:    50 min.
Genre:    electronic
Style:            Industrial

From Ant-Zen: "Anemone Tube’s third release of the “Suicide Series“ tetralogy is an immersive industrial music album and the most ambitious and complex work yet, a long-term project of no less than 6 years, pursuing a highly sophisticated approach full of cross-cultural and historical references. Painting a sonic landscape, “Golden Temple” is perfectly real and dreamlike at the same time, endorsing archaic, mythological and worldly ideals alike. Beauty and evil, the profane and chaos, apocalypse and hope – Anemone Tube keeps account and observes the antagonist forces of life. After the purely fantastic “Dream Landscape” conjuring up an apocalyptic vision and the dark, brooding landscape of “Death over China” slowly spreading as thick smog (as a consequence for China’s uncompromising economical and societal development creating irreparable environmental harm), the semi-fictional work “Golden Temple” is the series’ logical sequel. It suggests a (meta)physical landscape, here in form of global cities and metropolises proudly and brightly soaring in darkness, and bestowing golden radiance and divine beauty. With its alluring metaphorical world of images, signs and sounds it is the very symbol of our innermost longings, desires and fears and our attempts to escape from a disconcerting reality. The “Golden Temple” is comforting and threatening at the same time: consoling as it promises to reveal the secrets of beauty, threatening as it becomes a mirror of our secret death wish. Composed of raw urban field recordings collected in Japan and China, combined with layers of piercing feedback and sinister hovering synth melodies, “Golden Temple” confronts you with an all-embracing atmosphere of aggrieving darkness and glorious harshness, fathoming the possibilities of the genre. To ensure due impact, it has been sharply engineered to perfection by mastermind James Plotkin."

"Death over China"
Year:   2011
Country:    Germany
City:    Berlin
Artist:    Stefan Hanser
Label:    Topheth Prophet
Format:    CD

Edition:    731 copies
Tracks:    7
Time:    67 min.
Genre:    electronic
Style:               Industrial           Experimental

ANEMONE TUBE was founded summer 1996. The audio works of ANEMONE TUBE are a unique blend of drone, ambient, industrial and noise music with a strong psychogenic impact. The use of constantly shifting and altering sounds and moods is possibly one of the most intruiging things about the audio creations of Anemone Tube. Stefan Hansfer has also edited album under his own name or bands such as: Vivisection (grindcore), Hartsoeker (punk), Oubliet et Mourir (ambient / drone),  Wurzelbewußtsein (experimental), etc. and run his own small label: "Transfixional Entertainment Records". Stefan Hansfer has had always an opened mind about musical styles and also about ideology: libertarian, ecologist, pro animal liberation, human rights, etc. despite his ideas he doesn´t show them his music, beacause simply there are no lyrics. I think this album is great because it tastes just keep the balance daub of various styles, sounds and influences, not to exceed in any particular one. For some listeners this will be more industrial, other closer to ambient to noise or experimental, even field recordings, spoken words, etc. I think that is the union of all this and much more that adds the author from his own imagination. Reading the biography of the artist, I realized the cultural baggage that is, taking into account that is in the world of music since 1990. When I saw this CD for the first time, I spent a long time looking at the cover and all the artwork in general, and even without hearing it, and I thought I would. It is indeed a rare quality, that's the word: high qualityDefinitely ANEMONE TUBE`s best and most mature album yet.

":existence"
Year:    2001
Country:    Germany
City:   Berlin
Label:    Auf Abwegen
Format:    CD
Edition:    500 copies
Tracks:    7
Time:    48 min.
Genre:    electronic
Style:               Noise               Ambient

This CD contains material recorded between 1996-1999 and it represents the more harsh side of Anemone Tube. Of the six tracks, more than half are probably the noisiest material ever heard from this band, but instead of plain harsh 'noise, they often bear clear structures and occasionally even rhythms that keep them from becoming too static. Layers of distorted electronics and dense, detailed and diverse sounds are combined with extreme flushes or white noise and some low frequency electronics, with slowly evolving layers of massive sound. Ltd x 500 copies.

ANEMONE TUBE ‎+ TARKATAK
Year:    1999
Country:    Germany
Artist:    Stephan Hanser & Lutz Pruditsch
Label:      Transfixional Entertainment
Format:     CD
Edition:    300 copies
Tracks:    12
Time:    86 min.
Genre:     electronic
Style:                Ambient            Drone

From the German underground two 'bands' on one CD. I write 'bands', since they have one member each. Tarkatak slowly gaines a reputation as the natural successor to Maeror Tri (aside of course Troum). His almost 30 minute piece is based on, maybe even a 'remix', who knows, something by the other band on this CD, a track curiously not on this CD. Tarkatak slides through rough and dark edges to built his own world on the guitar, samples and who knows what else. Great production with lots of attention of the detail, the base end sound good here. Anemone Tube just uses the guitar, but not in one great composition, but in 5 smaller. Which are nonetheless great. Short excursions into the same sort of territory that Tarkakat is inhabiting. Textured ambient drones with a refined character." ANEMONE TUBE
"The Transfiguration of the Image"
Year:    1998
Country:    Germany
City:    Berlin
Format:    cassette
Edition:   100 copies
Tracks:   6
Time:   11 min.
Genre:   electronic
Style:                  Industrial

An small tape consisting of four previously released compilation tracks from 1998 plus a new composition from 2012. Harrowing electronic noise soundscapes that need no introduction. Pro duplicated tapes with bodyprints (a first for DSR), limited to 100 copies (already sold out). Program repeats on both sides. Once again, difficult and almost impossible to explain why this is high quality noise... but that´s it. Enjoy it with this crushing, metalized and (at the same time) "clean" and electronic harsh noise mixed with few extracted sounds from the factory. No doubt one of the best ANEMONE TUBE recordings. Simply excellent.

About HUNGER I know very few this band, I read just they are from Hamburg (Germany) and make an abstract free jazz and freestyle, with three lenght albums plus this split next to ANEMONE TUBE. The band is already defunct.

HARTSOEKER
"Dealing with the sense of catastrophe"
Year:    1996
Country:    Germany
City:    Berlin
Label:    Useless
Format:   CD
Tracks:    20
Time:    36 min.
Genre:    rock
Style:              Hardcore            Punk

Stefan Hansfer (ANEMONE TUBE) was singing in this fast punk band from Baden-Württemberg in south of Germany, formed in 1991 under the moniker "Vivisection", 1994 renamed as HARTSOEKER and split up in 1997. Live shows from 1992 to 1996 with Yacöpsae, BRB, Social Genocide, Dreaded Instinct, Blindspot, Full Noise 9, Agathocles, WBI, Necrophiliacs, Anal Cunt, Tolshock, Coche Bomba, Spliff... and many other punk, hardcore and grindcore bands over the world.  HARTSOEKER were a small german band playing intricate, intense and pissed grinding fastcore between 1996 and 2004. Along the lines of german bands like Luzifers Mob or earlier stuff from Yacopsae. Strange fact is such a brilliant band had been quite overlooked by their peers from the european hardcore punk scene. Thing is the HARTSOEKER guys didn't have dreadlocks, piercings or nice tatoos, they rather kept a low profile, being peaceful, quiet pot-smoking university students. This is a compilation with its unique album plus two EP´s.
