REVIEW : The title for the original release is "Endtroducing.....", with five periods. The Deluxe Edition releases have the title as "Endtroducing..." with three periods and including the subtitle "Deluxe Edition". The promotional releases can be found to have both versions of the title, that is with three and five periods. When I bought this album in 1996, it was the few Electronic cd´s in my private collection and I must confess I expected a totally different thing . Expecting a commercial album , with a sound and a typical production to please the public, regardless of the will of the artist. It so happens that in those years I played the drums in rock bands and I fixed a lot like playing the other , ie , they knew more or simply playing different because they made styles as far as hip -hop , jazz , folk, etc. . In the debut of DJ . SHADOW found no hard and repetitvo Techno , nor light, latina disco . I found dozens and even hundreds of distinct, rhythms made with a computer but , oh , surprise, it sounded exactly like an acoustic drum . Also DJ . SHADOW played with cut and paste , audio - collage and abstract in overlapping music and more music , one above the other. In 1996 almost everyone was recording albums 30 minutes, little more. He did 1 hour. A debut. It was great . It's great .
