Empires from ancient Egypt inspired, here is a pure, simple, easy and almost "empty" ambient. Mesektet has created an album that some people describe as "dark ambient" , but personally it's not fair opinio this adjective. We assume that " dark" is related com sinister atmospheres and this album does not release this feeling ( in my opinion ) , but tries to give music and sound all the mysteries surrounding the great civilization of the Egyptian Empire. A very advanced civilization for their time and disappeared, leaving many mysteries. In our era, even for today , there is a long list of teasers about the culture of Ancient Egypt that is still unknown . Despite the technological advances that we have in 2014 , there are many questions that remain unanswered. Enigmas . But , the Ancient Egypt course left us great beauty in many forms : architecture, sculpture , painting, writing , poetry, etc. . We assume that the musician behind Mesektet ( Jornt Elzinga ) are a fan of Egyptian culture and for this reason has wanted to create this album. Maybe a kind of homage ? can be. I personally liked the fact the possible sinister take part, and simply create a calm, affable Musia , experimenting with the minimum possible sound and even silence, . Six lengthy tracks (46 minutes) composed as a soundtrack for the deep pyramids and long travels to the Netherworld.
