Dadaism as an artistic movement happened from 1916 to 1925 and proposed the negation of all, destruction for simple destruction. Tried to create a total confusion without alternative. The movement was characterized by a nihilistic stance, anarchic, irrational and primitive, and a questioning of all the mainstream conventions and violent opposition to ideologies, religions, traditional art and traditional politics. The Dadà movement was deeply influenced later movements and clear, and the latest such neo-dadaism, pop art, anti-folk and punk. Here and now I am listening a very strange and original musical project called DALI'S AARDVARK. How to describe this project? frankly very difficult answer. Here the musician (John Filth) put very different elements on the table and cretae a kind of music game with: jazz, experimental, anti-folk and ambient, to mention a few. There are acoustic instruments (piano, guitar, bass) and also electronic instruments and effects. In three tracks there is also present noise throught high distortion effects but never is extreme but soft and controlled. Dadaism was the first forerunner of Surrealism and this one is represented by famous painters such as: Salvador Dali. Maybe for that reason the musician choose "DALI" as a name of his personal music project. If you want to listen to something really different and original, don´t miss DALI'S AARDVARK.

Format:    digital
Tracks:    8

Genre:    electronic
Style:              Harsh Noise

Another piece of art which JOHNNY FILTH can offer us, is this b-side project named "Snowfeeder" which has nothing to do with "Dali's Aardvark". Here we don't have acoustic instruments nor objects or circuit bent, but the traditional distortion pedals hard working to create a kind of slow, morbid and heavy textural electronic harsh noise. The musician has still another b-side short lived projects such as: Morning Glory Research Laboratories, Psychedelic Serpent Industries, Psychic Friends, Theatre Is Dead, GAG, Flesh Industry, Obscured TV, Lynch Crank Mob, Translucent Television,Third Mind Memetics, The Shameful Lizards, Hovering Lights, Hex TV, Nursing Coil, Kultural TV, Sober Cindy And Thee Addicts, Cultural Gibberish, Cultural Memetics Solution(s), Gender Causual In.c, etc. A man very prolific no doubt.
