Nothing to do with industrial, noise or experimental music, but the opposite, music closer than Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Sigue Sigue Sputnik or similar artists / bands. Total mainstream, music for dance, female vocalists, clean and melodic keyboards and electronic drums. All together sound like a hundreds of 80s famous pop bands but.... I don´t know... I don´t dislike this SPK album. I simply I like. The commercial succes was such that even "Warner Bros" decided to promote and distribute this album.

SPK were an Australian industrial music and noise music group formed in 1978. They were fronted by mainstay member, Graeme Revell on keyboards and percussion. In 1980 the group travelled to the United Kingdom where they issued their debut album, Information Overload Unit. In 1983 Sinan Leong joined on lead vocals. The group disbanded in 1988, two years later Revell and Leong relocated to the United States, where Revell has worked as a Hollywood film score composer. According to Australian rock music historian, Ian McFarlane, SPK were "at the forefront of the local post-punk, electronic/experimental movement of the late 1970s ... [their] music progressed from discordant, industrial-strength metal noise to sophisticated and restrained dance-rock with strange attributes".

Firstly, to inform to readers of this blog the free download here below (Bandcamp) is not an official release with these six LP´s and trhee EP´s, but just nine tracks recorded by SPK in 1979, aka first early demo tracks. The rest of the tracks appeared in this compilation ("Dokument IIIO") can be to listen to in the rest of SPK albums. This is just the first thirty-four SPK recorded minutes of pure, old, insane and noisy industrial music. Industrial. Nothing more.
