"Matmos" is the 1997 debut album of american electronic music duo MATMOS. The album features field recordings of everyday activities as well as more unusual things, such as nerve activity of a crayfish, on "Verber: amplified synapse". The album is of an experimental nature and has elements of different genres of electronic music such as drum 'n bass, minimal techno, glitch and small noises. This is their second album of seventeen at date, but one of the best but the best. No human voices, only strange sounds and rhythmic bases. It exist two releases of this album, one by "Vague Terrain Records" and other by "Matador Records", both on CD format. I like also very much this cover so simple, easy but at the same time attractive. High recommended disk no doubt.
