Punk band formed around 2005, they were the first band to be signed to "Poison City Records", releasing their debut EP "how to fit in" in 2006, followed by their debut album "hold fast" in 2008. While being heavily influenced by the gritty punk sounds of Gainesville, Fl, Daysworth took as much influence from local bands including Mid Youth Crisis, A Death In the Family, Away From Now and Blueline Medic. The band made a home for themselves at the heart of Melbourne punk rock - The Arthouse and played many gigs at the revered venue. After touring with many Australian and international acts throughout the mid 2000s, Daysworth decided to call time in 2010. Although the band got together occasionally over the following years for a rare show, they never committed to reforming and gigging permanently again. The feeling of having unfinished business pushed the band to reunite in early 2018 and they began writing again as a unit for a 2nd album. The effort culminated in 12 songs recorded by Sam Johnson at Holes and Corners and is set to be released in mid 2019. Highly recommended for those followers of: Fugazi, Hot Water Music or Boy Sets Fire.
